環境要因（temperature, humidity, heat radiation, noise, vibration, lighting, pressureなど）が人に及ぼす影響を，人間工学，環境生理学，生活科学，スポーツ科学，医学などの幅広い分野から総合的に検討する国際的な会議で，現在，また，これから起こる環境変化に伴う様々な課題の解決に貢献することを目的とする。
