The 2nd Hyogo Science E-cafe "The Coming Technological Singularity"
Professor Emeritus Takuya Matsuda of Kobe University will give a short talk on the technological singularity（技術的特異点）expected to occur around 2015. A superintelligence（超知能）, whose intellectual capacity far exceeds that of humankind, will rise, and it advances science and technology enormously. Because of this, the civilization of humankind will enter a utopian phase or may be dystopian one. Possible courses to the singularity will be discussed.
