Principles of study

This program comprises three courses of study, namely “Educational Science,” “Child Development,” and “Support for Human and Community Development,” and it involves the social and individual aspects of human development in terms of education and learning. The master’s program offers students the specialized knowledge and fundamental study skills to become highly skilled professionals and key players in society, while the objective for students in the doctoral program is to develop the specialized academic knowledge and creative research skills in education and learning that are required to become independent researchers, and the specific skills associated with education and development necessary to teach at a university.

Message from the Head of Department

This major deals with the multiple perspectives of education and learning as part of human development. The course is divided into three parts. “Education Science” deals with education from the perspectives of history, educational systems, administration, educational methods, social studies, science education, and art education. “Child Development” is concerned with mental and physical, language and literature, music, art education, and mathematics education and development in children from infants to students. “Support for Human and Community Development” focuses on the combination of the principles and practices involved in social and educational support in human development today, from the perspective of child development, continuing education, gender culture, lifelong learning, and adult learning. The master’s program offers thorough training in specific areas of education and learning, and is concerned with producing outstanding individuals who are able to contribute proactively to the building process of humanistic and mature civil society. In addition, there is a one-year course of study within the “Support for Human and Community Development” aimed at those with professional experience in human development and support. The course enables such students to develop advanced practical skills, support skills, and practical research skills. Graduates of the doctoral program are able to become researchers or university teachers who possess the creative research skills and ability to produce new findings independently.
