Music Therapy Lecture and Workshop with students from Department of Creative Arts Therapy, College of Medical Sciences, Jeonju University, Korea

We had a wonderful opportunity to welcome 26 graduate and undergraduate students from Korea for three days, February 8th -10th 2016. Dr.Dong Min Kim, an Associate Professor of this college, brought a party to the Faculty of Human Development, and Dr. Kana Okazaki-Sakaue gave a series of lectures and workshops titled "How to develop clinical improvisation skills in music therapy".

Our research fellow, Dr. Rii Numata also joined in the teaching and she shared her research on “Musical Improvisation in Community Music Therapy” and demonstrated her way of working with people with special needs.

Some of our students joined in the music making together, and we were able to make musical communication as well as academic exchanges.

Thank you all for coming and we look forward to our future collaboration.
